Science - We are Change Display Presenters

Evie presented the day/night change.

Alex presented the day/night change.

Lucas presented hot/cold change.

Sean presented the day/night change.

Oscar showed us a Winter/Spring change.

Josie showed us a day/night change.

Aimee showed us a Winter/Spring change.

Maths - learning about half of an object and groups of objects.

Sophia's Blessing

Today during prayer we did a special blessing on baby Sophia. She is really cute and we hope that Lucas and Hunter enjoy being big brothers to her.

Making our Change Displays

First we had to plan for what 'change in our world' we would display.

We shared our ideas with our friends.

Then we had to decide if we would make a poster, power point or a diorama. It was tricky to work out how everything would go together.

We had to do this independently from planning to creating to presenting. We enjoyed this experience.

Night School Fun!

At night school we were so excited to see our friends in their pjs.

Then we all went down to the oval for a blessing prayer.

Afterwards we used the ipad app 'skyview' which allows you to look at the planets, constellation and moon and satellite locations.

Afterwards we made a big Year 1 sign using our bodies.

Afterwards we went on a treasure hunt around the school. The treasure was chocolate - yum!

We also made Aliens.

Mary MacKillop, Pray for Us!

St Mary MacKillop Feast Day Mass

 We began our Mary MacKillop Feast Day with a special Mass. Together we prayed for Mary and the legacy she has left behind for us. Together with Fr Frank we prayed for all of those people today who need her prayers.
