We love doing SSP lessons in 1G - We are GREEN level experts now!

During one of the brain training videos, students are shown pictures and given a short amount of time to write the corresponding lines, numbers and sounds that make up that word. These children here have shown that they are really growing their brains to hear sounds in words.

Well done Jett, Miller, Jacinta and Evelyn :)

Reading and Writing are F-U-N!

This week we read 'If you are cheeky and you know it.' We changed the words of this song to be about animals. We became 'song writers'. Look at some of our responses.

Where can we pray in our school? Let's investigate!

We found that we can pray to St Mary MacKillop inside our school Church.
We found that our School Church is a sacred and special place to pray.
Hugo tested out one of the Prayer stools in the Church.
Outside the Church is our Church garden and what a beautiful place this is to sit and listen to God. We said a prayer here and thanked our God for the beautiful world he gave us full of plants and trees.
We said a prayer in our Japanese Garden and thanked our God for the gift of language.
We found a statue of Mother Mary and baby Jesus outside the Church.
In the garden, we pray.
We also found that we can pray in our classroom. It is our own sacred space when we pray.
